Das Numen’s most recent work, Aquarell (Watercolour), consists of a sheet of watercolour paper soaked in concentrated water of the river Spree, Berlin.
The water has been extracted from the river at Monbijoupark/Kupfergraben in close proximity of the gallery Peres Projects Mitte, and then concentrated to a 5th of its volume intensifiying its colouration.
In natural sciences, indicator papers are being used to learn about life, pollution, clarity, saturation of bodies of water. Similar learning processes about life can be established when looking at works of art in the nearby gallery of Javier Peres.
