Rahmenprogramm – Hannelore Van Dijck

Hannelore von Dijck’s contribution consists of a white sheet of blotting paper showing the pencilled outlines of an A4 sized plane. Placed on an advertising pillar on top of previously hung poster ads the work both communicates and withholds information at the same time. Same can be said for nearby Galerie Christan Nagel and its darkened windows averting any view of its current show.
Contrary to the plastered pillars and walls with information spreading, A4 considers the economy of space within billboard and poster advertisement. A meditation on format. A4.
